Uh Oh! “File Not Found” on DTW Asset? Here’s Why & What To Do!

We know how exciting it is to find the perfect GPL WordPress plugin or theme for your project on dtwasset.com. Our goal is to provide you with a wide array of valuable resources. However, you might occasionally click a download link and be met with a “File Not Found” page from our file hosting provider, Devuploads (like the one shown below):
We understand this can be frustrating, and we want to shed some light on why this happens and, most importantly, assure you that we can still get you the file you need!
Why Do "File Not Found" Errors Occur?
To offer you a vast library of GPL plugins and themes, we utilize a file hosting service called Devuploads. Like many platforms offering free hosting tiers, they have certain operational policies.
For their registered free accounts (which we use to keep costs down and pass savings/access on to you), Devuploads has a policy where:
Files are automatically deleted 30 days after their last download.
You can see this limitation mentioned in their account features (similar to the image below for registered users):
This means if a particular plugin or theme hasn’t been downloaded by anyone for a month, Devuploads might automatically remove it from their servers to manage storage space. With hundreds, or even thousands, of files, it’s inevitable that some less frequently downloaded items might hit this 30-day inactivity window.

The file is NOT necessarily gone forever from our collection.

What To Do If You See "File Not Found":
It’s simple! If a download link leads you to a “File Not Found” page on Devuploads, please contact us directly.

When you contact us, please provide:
The name of the WordPress plugin or theme you were trying to download.
(Optional, but helpful) The URL of the DTW Asset page where you found the link.
Once we receive your request, we will:
Locate the file in our master archive.
Re-upload it to Devuploads (or an alternative, accessible location).
Provide you with a fresh, working download link as quickly as possible.
